104 PARIS – FOIRE FORAINE D’ART CONTEMPORAIN –

Based in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, the CENTQUATRE-PARIS is a space for artistic residencies, production and dissemination of art for audiences and artists from all over the world.

Designed by its director José-Manuel Gonçalvès and his teams as a collaborative platform, it provides access to all current arts, from all disciplines through a popular, contemporary and demanding programme.

For the start-ups that integrate their incubator, it constitutes a territory of experimentation, at the crossroads of art and innovation.

For the Foire Foraine d’Art Contemporain, the CENTQUATRE-PARIS has invited five artists to take over the Écuries Fantastiques, to create playful, immersive and original spaces, including the installation The Oracle by the Alpha Wave Experience collective directed by Dan Ghenacia as well as ORLAN, Julio Le Parc, Fabrice Hyber, Tsirihaka Harrivel.

LILLE 3000 – LE SERPENT COSMIQUE –

The Oracle is a piece that represents the intersection of art, design, meditation and psychedelics accompanied by music. It is a flashing light installation that puts its users into a meditative state; its wave frequency causes users to see colours, shapes, patterns and much more. This experience is meant to replicate an ayahuasca ceremony and The Oracle is the shaman.

This installation was commissioned to be part of Lille3000 in the exhibition “Serpent Cosmique” curated by Fabrice Bousteau (Beaux Arts Magazine). It is one of the largest art shows in Europe, totaling 2 million visitors in 2019 alone. This larger version of the machine suspended from the ceiling is named The Oracle and includes a 3D sound-system for a fully immersive experience.

This is further enhanced by jungle sounds on a 20 point sound system, something that is one of a kind, provided by Pioneer PRO AUDIO and set up with the expertise of Javier Ferrer of Metrica Studio. To be fully immersed, participants first enter a cage with jungle surroundings and then lie down comfortably with heads positioned directly under The Oracle. The journey of introspection and exploration of the mind then begins.

BOA LAB – AN INNER JOURNEY TO YOUR SUBCONSIOUS –

LISBOA – APRIL TO MAY 22

The exhibition “Alpha Wave Experience” : An Inner Journey to Your Subconscious” was showcased at Boa Lab in Lisbon from April to May.

The Hologram of Dan Ghenacia explained the project and summarised the exhibition at the door. Room 2 was the main stage to showcase our first NFT collection, representing the visions of people experimenting the Alpha Wave Experience according to their testimony.

Visitors then flowed into the Brain Space (Room 3), where brain activity comes to life through interactive kinetic projections.

The last chapters of the journey were the moments visitors experiment with the machine with eyes closed and a neurofeedback headset from MuLabs Tech (Room 5). They are able to create a piece of art with their brain just with their data, shown in Room 4.

“Atmospheres” explored the relationship between humans and the environment in which they evolve. An artistic dialogue with the basis of our connections, digital but also human, our social atmospheres, our relationship to others and to ourselves.

Artists included: Alpha Wave Experience, Antoine Schmitt, Solimán López, Ivan Black, Dimitri Thouzery, Neon Minuit, Anine Kirsten, Pierre Lafanechere & Dylan Cote, Paul Vivien & Nicolas Mimault (OYÉ), Matière Noire, Tom Lellouche, Essences Vitesses, Junior Bis.
